US Army Trench Knife, with its double-edged blade, brass handle and sheet steel scabbard.

Knife and scabbard made by L.F. & C. and dated 1918.

This model was made by the same manufacturer as the 1917 model, with the addition of the firm A. A Simsons & Sons and a French manufacturer “Au Lion”.

The initial contract was for 1,232,780 daggers, but the end of the war reduced the number to 119,424.
