“Back to Trévieres”- Normandy july 1944- The reenactors action report

From 18 to 21 July 2019 around twenty Reenactors from different horizons gathered to walk in the footsteps of the first four days of the 38th Infantry Regiment of the 2nd INFANTRY division in Normandy.

From omaha Beach, and up to the objective of the town of Treviéres released on June 10, 1944, they traveled the same fields and trails as the Indian Head in 1944.

Four days in total immersion, with a rigorous dress code and a tactical theme close to the reality of the time.

Supported by testimonies and photos from eras carefully studied by Guillaume Legand, these reenactors were able to relive the first days of the second to none in Normandy.

An extraordinary reconstruction that allowed the Reenactors to put themselves in the shoes of the Indian Head but above all to pay them Tribute.
