Indeed on the commune the 816th Engineer Aviation Battalion built from June 10th to 14th the airfield named ALG A-03 operational until September 1st 1944.
It was used by the 368th and 370th Fighter Groups of the 9th Air Force, protected by the B Battery of the 115th Anti-Aircraft Gun Battalion.
