Joseph Thomas SLUSARZ (1925-2016)
Son of a Polish immigrant, Josepph Slusarz was born in 1925 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
During the Second World War, he enlisted in the US Army and served with the illustrious 2nd Armored Division, Hell on Wheels.
On the European front, he was assigned to the M4 Sherman as a machine gunner, earning the rank of Corporal. After 40 years of Federal service, he left the army in 1984.
He died at the age of 91 on May 11, 2016.
