US Army “mustard” shirt with 10th Mountain Division insignia.

Made by Shirt Co. Inc and dated October 8, 1941, size 15-33.

The 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) was a division organized for mountainous terrain and designed to be deployed within 96 hours to any location on the globe.

The 10th Mountain Division was first committed on 28 January 1945 during the Italian campaign in the Apennine Mountains. It was the first unit to permanently conquer the Wehrmacht-held Mount Belvedere.

In 114 days of fighting, the 10th Mountain Division is credited with the destruction of 5 elite divisions.

Unfortunately, it lost 992 men and had 4154 wounded.
