34th Infantry Division US cotton shoulder badge.

The 34th Infantry Division participated in World War I, World War II and continues to serve in conflicts today.

It holds the distinction of being the first US division deployed to Europe in World War II, spending more days in combat and taking more enemy-defended hills than any other US Army division during the conflict.

It is also known by its red bull insignia which gave it the nickname ‘Red Bull’. The division was created in August 1917 and remained active until 1963.
