US Army ‘Roll Bedding Waterproofed M-1935’, identified to Second Lieutenant of the 90th Infantry Division, Jack P Cool killed in action on 28 September 1944 in Lorraine.
This is a waterproofed canvas floor mat pack with pockets and straps to roll it up over its contents.
This belonged to Second Lieutenant Cool, 915th Field Artillery Battalion of the 90th Division, and sadly he lost his life in the battle for the liberation of the city of Metz.
He now lies alongside his brothers in arms in St Avold Cemetery in Moselle.
His name is notified, as well as his full service number 0-541149.
