US M1 helmet of the 506th PIR of the 101st Airborne Division.

Illegible serial number, fixed fasteners (one missing), oxidized interior with several holes in the shell.

Paintwork present with “Ace of Spades” insignia and white dot indicating the 2nd Battalion of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Helmet shell found in the Picauville area in the French département of La Manche in the 1990s.

A rare and beautiful piece of history in its uncovered condition.
